摘要

Abstract

Liu Daoyu is a contemporary pioneer of the Chinese higher education reform .His noble edu‐cation personality has become a banner in current higher education reform .His principle of supremacy of the nation and the ambition to serve the motherland ,his noble character that neither riches nor honors could lead one astray and to advocate science ,his spirit of persistent reform and perseverance of reform action ,his feelings to cherish talents and successful practice of training creative talents ,his spirit to be brave to criticize and his responsibility consciousness are all reflection of his noble person‐ality education .There are four reasons for Liu Daoyu to form his noble education personality ,inclu‐ding undergoing sufferings due to his poor background ,being influenced by Confucian virtue ,culti‐vated by the government of the People’ s Republic of China ,and affected by the western advanced ed‐ucation ideas .Liu Daoyu’ s education personality has an important personality demonstration value in the current reform of higher education in China today .
