Abstract
ObjectiveTo assess the signiifcance of ultrasound in evaluation of the therapeutic efifcacy of medicine treatment for gastric bezoars.Methods13 cases with gastric bezoars diagnosed by stomach window CEUS (Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound) were examined by using gastroscopy for conifrmation. Firstly, the patients were administered with oral drugs such as 5% sodium bicarbonate for alkalinization of gastric juice so as to treat the gastric bezoars. 5 d after the course of treatment, the patients underwent stomach window CEUS examinations to analyze the varying characteristics of ultrasonic imaging, which determined whether the medicine treatment went on or not.Results The gastric bezoars disappeared in 9 cases. The size and shape of gastric bezoars had been signiifcantly narrowed compared to the ifrst examination in 3 cases. The gastric bezoars disappeared after continuously taking another 5-day oral medicine according to the result of reexaminations. The ultrasonogram in 1 case indicated that there was no obvious change compared to the ifrst examination. Gastroscopy was recommended to remove gastric bezoars.ConclusionStomach window CEUS, as a simple and painless method, could provide references for clinical medicine treatment for gastric bezoars, which was worthy of clinical popularization and application.关键词
