Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generators Based on Dual Heuristic Programming

Abstract
Due to the fact that the power control of permanent magnet synchronous generators(PMSG)is usually based on linear control theory,its dynamic performances cannot fully satisfy the operation requirements of wind farms. In this paper,dual heuristic programming(DHP)is adopted to control the output power of PMSG. After the introduction of the working principle of PMSG,its dynamic model is established. The DHP algorithm is written using C programming lan⁃guage,and the DHP control blocks replace the PI control blocks in the dynamic model of PMSG,which is incorporated into the IEEE 10-generator 39-node system to perform time-domain simulation with adjusted parameters. Simulation re⁃sults show that the output power of PMSG can be effectively controlled with DHP,and a desired dynamic performance can be obtained.关键词
