摘要

Abstract

The S wave splitting parameters is calculated using the digital seismic data of Tangshan ML5.1 earthquake aftershock in 2012 recorded at Douhe Seismic Station. The results showed that:①the fast S-wave polarization directions of aftershocks are mainly concentrated in the 90°—127°, the average polarization angle is about 102.73°;②(extension of late most of the time in 1.29 —13.05 ms/km within the scope of changes, with an average of 5.75 ms/km) the delay time are 1.29—12.05 ms/km. It is concluded that the S wave splitting parameters can relfect the dynamic changes of the stress ifeld in the source region, which can provide useful information for the study of the stress ifeld in Tangshan area and the earthquake prediction.
