摘要

Abstract

In order to study the corrosion cumulative damage of ship and marine structures under the combined effects of loading and corrosion conditions ,the effects of elastic stress on corrosion poten‐tial ,potentiodynamic polarization characteristics ,linear polarization resistance and electrochemical im‐pedance spectra for Q235B steel in 3 .5% NaCl solution were investigated by employing the electro‐chemical measurement techniques .Meanwhile ,the impact of elastic stress on the interfacial tension between the metal and solution was also studied by using the contact angle measurement technique . Experimental results show that elastic stress can cause negative shift of corrosion potential and accel‐erate corrosion of steel significantly .Based on the results of electrochemical measurements ,a model of elastic stress on corrosion rate was established .Both interfacial tension and surface contact angle de‐crease significantly with the increase of stress level ,and thus the interfacial tension between metal and solution can be applied to the study of mechano‐chemical effect .
