摘要

Abstract

Objective:To discuss the clinical ability training of dental undergraduate interns when taking“following up patients teaching”mode or tranditional teaching mode.Methods:Sisty dental undergraduate interns were divided into 2 groups equally according to odd or even-number performance ranking, odd-number interns were in“following up patients teaching”group,even-number students were in tranditional teaching group.“Following up patients teaching”mode is that in-terns treat all oral health problems of each patient alone.Tranditional teaching mode is curing patients with one kind of oral disease on practicum.If the patients with other oral health problems,interns in other practice departments are responsible for the treatment.Theoretical foundation,communication ability,comprehensive analysis ability and clinical skills between the two <br> groups were evaluated by theoretical examination, standardized patients test and clinical skill practice.Fisher exact testwas used to calculate the significance between the two groups.Results:Compared with the interns in tranditional teaching group, interns in“following up patients teaching”group had a better communication ability and comprehensive analysis ability,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant( P<0.05).And the difference on theoretical basis and clinical operational skills was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion:“Following up patients teaching”mode is beneficial to establish students’self-confidence, their communication ability and comprehensive analysis ability.It is a good teaching mode for clinical training of dental ungergraduate interns.
