Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the clinical effects of treatment in elderly by using cone-beam CT( CBCT) and mi-cro ultrasound diagnosis.Methods:There were 124 difficult root canals with bend,calcification,omissions or crack which with treatment failure by using traditional therapy in 71 elderly patients.To determine the number of the root canals,the location of the root canal orifices,root canals bending angle by CBCT,and to remove calcified tissue,exploration and dredging root canals by ultrasound assisted.The were counted and analyzed.Results:Among the 124 difficult root canals,there were 108 root ca-nals with successful dredging which included seeking the 11 missing root canals with 87.1% success rate.The position of teeth and calcification related to success rate of canal dredging.Two root canals with crack pipe were proposed removal.Con-clusion:CBCT combination with ultrasonic microscopy for clinical diagnosis and treatment of the elderly difficult root canal provides an effective method.关键词
