“杖”类词刑具义的形成及其认知解释
Semantic formation and cognitive interpretation of word group of Zhang(杖)with meaning of torture instrument
摘要
Abstract
The meaning of the torture instrument of Zhang(杖)emerged no later than the Eastern Han Dynasty, while its meaning of ancient criminal law emerged no later than the Liang Dynasty. The meaning of the instrument of torture of Zhang is the results of metonymy of its meaning of stick,while its meaning of ancient criminal law is the results of metaphor of its meaning of beating. After Eastern Han Dynasty,it combined with a lot of morphemes with the meaning of whips,sticks,criminal law,punishment,size and others and formed some two-syllable words which can also be defined as the instrument of torture and beatings. Judging from semantic evolution,the meaning of the torture instrument and its verbal meaning about the group word of Zhang is the results of metonymy of its meaning of stick.关键词
