摘要

Abstract

This paper describes the general design of the bridges on Huaihua-Shaoyang-Hengyang Railway. In order to solve the design difficulties caused by the complex geographical, geological and environmental conditions, simply supported beam bridge is normally proposed and large span bridge is additionally suggested. In the more developed Karst area, safe stress holding layer is recommended for bridge foundation and foundation position is defined. Furthermore, the artificial drilled pile is employed fundamentally as the actual situation requires. The construction results justify the applicability of the bridge design.
