Abstract
Hydrogenation of acetic acid to ethanol over Pd-Sn/Al2O3 catalysts were studied in a fixed bed reactor. The effects of Sn and Pd amounts on the catalytic performance of the catalyst were investigated. Results show that the addition of proper amount of Sn could increase the conversion of acetic acid and the selectivity of ethanol. For the catalyst 1Pd-1Sn/Al2O3, the conversion of acetic acid could reach 65.32% with a ethanol selectivity of 76.31% under the reaction conditions: 280℃, 4.0 MPa, LHSV of 1.0h-1 and hydrogen/acetic acid molar ratio of 40. XRD results indicate that promoter Sn could improve the dispersity of Pd in the catalyst.关键词
