Abstract
Objective To evaluate the expressions of glucose transporter1 (Glut1) protein ,hypoxia-inducible factor-1 alpha in primary gastric carcinoma. Methods The expressions of HIF-1α and Glut1 were immunohistochemically examined in 120cases of primary gastric carcinomas and 50 cases of benign gastric mucosa. Results The positive rates of HIF-1α and Glut1 were 70%、69% and 16%、18% in gastric carcinoma,which were significantly higher than that in benign gastric mucosa ( <0.01). HIF -1α proteins expressions were closely related to clinical stage, histologicalgrading,histopathologic type, lymph node metastasis ( <0.01). Glut1 proteins expressions were closely related to clinical stage, histologicalgrading,histopathologic type,lymph node metastasis ( <0.05). There was a significant correlation between the expression of HIF-1α and Glut1 in gastric carcinoma (r1=0. 0.62,<0.01). Conclusion The overexpression of HIF-1α and Glut1 protein may be closely associated with aggressive biological behaviorin gastric carcinoma. Detection of expression of these markers might be useful in the choice of treatment.关键词
