Abstract
The screw compressors are widely applied in water chillers because of their advantages such as high efficiency, less sensitive to suction gas with liquid carryover during compression, as well as with less moving parts. To quickly fill the need of market to large water-chillers and satisfy the reliability of chillers for customers, now the manufacturers of the central air-conditioning prefer to simplify the design of system by using less circuits. Therefore, the application of screw compressors in parallel connection becomes popular; however, it is found there exists an issue of big discharge fluctuation from the application, causing alarming of chillers under worse condition and resulting in the operation limitation of chillers. In this paper, the problem was analyzed toward the issue and then one solution was put forward; in the solution, the device of weakening the discharge pressure fluctuation named as discharge fluctuation buffer was introduced, and the performances of the optimized and original systems were simulated by Fluent simulation tool and compared. The comparison of the simulation results proves that the new device is a feasible approach to alleviate the discharge fluctuation.关键词
