摘要

Abstract

Currently,the hybrid high voltage direct current (HVDC) breaker is recognized as a way to deal with the DC grid fault despite its expensive cost,more breakers used,etc.To remedy the situation,a current-transferring type HVDC breaker is proposed and the control sequence of fault isolation for the break is studied.By drawing on the key components and design philosophy of the hybrid HVDC breaker,the DC bus and the hybrid HVDC breakers connected to the same DC bus are integrated in the current-transferring type HVDC breaker.By redesigning the HVDC breaker with the overall concept,the equipment utilization value is optimized.On the premise of ensured breaker ability of handling DC-side fault at competitively low cost,its operating speed is as fast as the hybrid HVDC breaker.A model of a three-terminal monopolar HVDC grid is developed in PSCAD/EMTDC to verify the validity of the proposed breaker,with the validity and feasibility of the proposed solution verified by simulation results.
