Research of Duty Cycle Test Method for Module ESS

Abstract
ABSTRACT:Duty cycle is a charge/discharge profile representing demands associated with a specific application placed on a module energy storage system (ESS). Assessing applicability of module ESS with duty cycle hasattracted increasing attention in renewable energy. Duty cycle test curve of module ESS was constructed and analyzed in this paper. The construction included extracting common factors from module ESS operation data with factor analysis, clustering original fragments with K-means cluster analyzing common factors, constructing a typical duty cycle curves with representative testing fragments of each clusters data. Duty cycles of module ESS in scheduling output, output smoothness, combined scheduling and smoothness application, for example, were respectively constructed and analyzed. Results showed that combination of factor analysis and K-means clustering methods can effectively identify and quantify characteristic parameters of duty cycle test curve for assessing applicability of module ESS.关键词
