Influence of Rarefied Gas Effect on Aerodynamic Characteristics of Conventional Layout Missile

Abstract
The aerodynamic characteristics of missile are the precondition to accurately predict the trajectory , and also the important basis for the measurement of missile range .In the rarefied atmosphere , the premise condition of continuous medium assumption is no longer valid , and accurate aerodynamic pa-rameters of missile cannot be obtained by the corresponding calculation method .A model of conventional layout missile is established and the aerodynamic parameters in the rarefied atmosphere are obtained by the lattice Boltzmann method ( LBM) based on mesoscopic physics theory , which are compared with the aerodynamic parameters obtained under the condition of continuous medium assumption .By calculating the high altitude trajectory of missile , it is found that rarefied gas effect changes the aerodynamic charac-teristics of missile to a certain extent , but the impact on accurate prediction of high altitude trajectory is very limited.关键词
