Heat flux simulation of solar trough collectors based on field theory
摘要
Abstract
In this paper,the heat flux of solar trough collectors has been simulated based on field theory and COMSOL.Combined with the Illuminated Surface Theory,the process of the ray transmission from the light source to the concentrator has been simplified which greatly saved computing resources.In addition,the simulation results have been compared with Jeter's result and the result of the Monte Carlo ray tracing method.The comparison result shows that the simulation result of using field theory is better than the result of using Monte Carlo ray tracing method,which is more close to Jeter's result.After that,the heat flux of LS-3 solar trough collectors has been simulated with different rim angle and the result shows that with the increase of rim angle the heat flux distribution became more uniform and the peak value went smaller.关键词
