Abstract
Objective To explore the application effect of cleanness exposure in neonatal umbilical nursing care.Methods 163 full-term newborns were randomly divided into a control group (83 cases) and an experimental group (80 cases).The control group adopted disinfection and packing method;after the bath on day 2 of birth,the umbilical cord was disinfected with 75％ alcohol and packaged with navel bags;and this method was used until umbilical cord stump falling off.The experimental group adopted cleanness exposure method;after the bath on day 2 of birth,the umbilical cord was cleaned with physiological saline and kept dry until the umbilical cord stump falling off.The neonatal umbilical cord shedding time and the incidences umbilical bleeding,secretions,and smell were compared between these two groups.Results The neonatal umbilical cord shedding time of the experimental group was significantly shorter than that of the control group (P ＜ 0.05).In addition,the incidence of umbilical bleeding was significantly lower in the experimental group than in the control group (P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Cleanness exposure can shorten umbilical cord stump shedding time and reduce omphalitis and is simple,so it is worth being clinically generalized.关键词
