Simulation and Optimization of a Butanol Isomer Column
摘要
Abstract
This study aims to improve feed loading capacity of a butanol isomer column in #2 butyl octanol unit of Tianjin Bohua Yongli Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. Following practical process adjustment, Aspen and KG-TOWER software were used to simulate the process and calculate related hydraulics, respectively. VG-fixed valves and arc-overflow weir were employed to optimize the inner structure of the butanol isomer column, and the feed loading capacity is increased by over 20%. This study is useful in improving feed loading capacity of butanol isomer columns in butyl octanol units, and provides guidance for the design and optimization of distillation columns with small tray spacing.关键词
