Abstract
Objective:To reveal the function of P120-catenin(P120ctn)and E-cadherin(E-cad)in the metastasis and invasion of oral squamous-cell cancer(OSCC).Methods:Real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR and Western blot were a-dopted to test mRNA and protein expressions of P120ctn and E-cad in HN4(originating from a primary OSCC of the tongue), HN12 ( derived from a lymph node metastasis in the same patient) cells.Transwell cell invasion and migration assay were used to test the invasion and migration capacity of HOK(Human oral keratinocytes),HN4 and HN12 cells.Results:The mRNA and protein expressions of P120ctn and E-cad in HN4 cells were significantly higher than those in HN12 cells,and lower than those in HOK cells(P<0.05).The metastasis and invasion capacity of HN4 cells was significantly higher than that of HOK cells,and significantly lower than that of HN12 cells(P<0.05).Conclusion:In OSCC cells,P120ctn and E-cad which pres-ent coordinated expression are related with the malignancy degree and metastatic potential of OSCC epithelial cells,and may-be inhibit the metastasis and invasion of OSCC epithelial cells.关键词
