摘要

Abstract

The original crustal stress is the basic parameter for stability assessment and design of the underground engineering in rockmass and partial excavation engineering in open air. Meanwhile, the parameter is also one of essential factors of deformation, instability and failure of the engineering. With the increasing of the engineering degree and scale in the fields such as the national defense, water resources, trans-portation, petroleum, mining and nuclear energy, etc, function of determination of crustal stress in guiding engineering to develop scientifi-cally, safety and economically is quite obvious. But in China, the technical level and application scope of the crustal stress determination currently cannot satisfy requirements of projects in a large quantity. Therefore, study of theory, technology and application of the crustal de-termination is required to reinforce. In the paper, causes, classification and impact factors of the crustal stress, and main determination methods at present are summarized. Meanwhile, prospects on the future development of the crustal stress determination are performed.
