Significance of rheumatoid factor in different clinical manifestations of primary Sjögren′s syndrome

Abstract
Objective:To explore the significance of rheumatoid factor in different clinical manifestations of primary Sj ögren′s syndrome.Methods:The clinical data of 98 cases of primary Sjögren′s syndrome from Norman Bethune First Hospital of Jilin University from 2014 to 2015 were analyzed and the clinical significance of rheumatoid factor was also explored .Results:The positive rate of rheu-matoid factor in primary Sjögren′s syndrome was 40.8%.Patients with positive rheumatoid factor were more prone to suffer from fatigue,joint and pulmonary involvement and the change of the parotid gland , salivary gland, labial gland.In terms of the results of laboratory examination,the following were more frequent,including positive anti-SSB antibody and spot type antinuclear antibody ,the elevated IgG level , the increase of erythrocyte sedimentation rate ( ESR ).Conclusion: Rheumatoid factor has a predictive value to salivary gland , joint and pulmonary involvement of primary Sjögren′s syndrome.The diagnostic performance of primary Sjögren′s syndrome is probably improved by rheumatoid factor joint salivary gland ultrasonography ,which can reduce inconvenience of invasive examination such as labial salivary gland biopsy.关键词
