Abstract
Objective To establish the predicted value equation of pulmonary ventilation function in middle-aged and elderly people, and to investigate the characteristics of lung function of middle-aged and elderly people.Methods 300 middle-aged and elderly people ( 122 males, 178 females ) were selected from 4 districts and counties ( Jianxi District, Xigong District, Mengjin County and Yanshi County) by using multistage stratified cluster sampling method from March to July 2014. The functional indexes of pulmonary ventilation such as forced vital capacity ( FVC ) and forced expiratory volume at the first second ( FEV1 ) and FEV1/FVC were measured by using Japan PM-81 chest scanning apparatus, and each actual index was analyzed by multiple linear stepwise regression method to get the predicted value equation.Results There were significant differences in FVC and FEV1 among the middle-aged and elderly people of different genders ( P<0.05 ); but there was no significant difference in FEV1/FVC ( P>0.05 ) .There were significant differences between FVC and FEV1 among the male middle-aged and elderly people of different ages ( P<0.05 ); but there was no significant difference in FEV1/FVC ( P>0.05) .There were significant differences in FVC and FEV1 among the female middle-aged and elderly people of different ages (P<0.05); but there was no significant difference in FEV1/FVC (P>0.05) .With FVC as the dependent variable, the results of multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that age and stature ultimately entered the regression equation, FVC=-2.369-0.019 age+3.488 stature in terms of male middle-aged and elderly people ( R2 =0.203, F=15.121, P<0.001); for female middle-aged and elderly people, age, stature, and body mass ultimately entered the regression equation, FVC=-0.941-0.021 age+2.842 stature-0.008 body mass ( R2 =0.222, F=16.542, P<0.001) .With FEV1 as the dependent variable, the results of multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that age and stature ultimately entered the regression equation, FEV1 =-0.203 -0.022 age +2.012 stature in terms of male middle -aged and elderly people ( R2=0.220, F =16.761, P <0.001 ); for female middle -aged and elderly people, age and stature ultimately entered the regression equation, FEV1 =1.340-0.025 age+0.986 stature (R2 =0.213, F=23.638, P<0.001) .Conclusion Age and stature are the main factors that affect pulmonary ventilation function; and body mass has less effects on pulmonary ventilation function.The predicted value equation of pulmonary ventilation function that originates from Luoyang area in 300 middle-aged and elderly people is established, and this equation is suitable for the middle-aged and elderly people in Luoyang area.关键词
