Abstract
Primary hyperthyroidism (PHPT) diagnosis significantly increased with the conventional calcium detection in the past 30 years. The new guideline for the definitive management of PHPT from the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons (AAES) published in 2016 is a welcome addition to the literature,especially because they are written for the practicing surgeon. This guideline made detailed description on diagnosis and evaluation,epidemiology and pathogenesis, indications and outcomes of intervention, preoperative and intraoperative management,surgical adjuncts and so on.关键词
