Abstract
Objective To investigate influence of different nasal packing materials in wound pain and hemostatic effect after endoscopic sinus surgery. Methods 204 patients with nasal endoscopic operation cured in our hospital from October 2011 to December 2013 were selected and randomly divided into four groups. 51 patients used vaseline gauze were divided into group A, 51 patients used vaseline gauze+collagen sponge were divided into as group B. 51 patients used Merocel were divided into group C. 51 patients used calcium alginate were divided into group D. Postoperative wound pain, hemostatic effect, complications, and functional evaluation of the four groups were compared. Results Postoperative wound pain in group B was better than that in group A. VAS score, hemorrhage rate, complication rate, nasal ventilation score, nasal pain score, tooth pain score and headache score of group B were lower than those of group A. Nasal stop bleeding time of group B was less than that of group A. Postoperative wound pain in group C was better than that in group A and B. VAS score, hemorrhage rate, complication rate, nasal ventilation score, nasal pain score, tooth pain score and headache score of group C were lower than those of group A and B. Nasal stop bleeding time of group C was less than that of group A and B. Postoperative wound pain in group D was better than that in group A, B, C. VAS score, hemorrhage rate, complication rate, nasal ventilation score, nasal pain score, tooth pain score and headache score of group D were lower than those of group A, B, C. Nasal stop bleeding time of group D was less than that of group A, B, C. Differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05). Conclusion Calcium alginate has better effect of hemostatic and analgesic. It can significantly improve nasal function. It has fewer complications and high safety, followed by Merocel, Vaseline gauze +collagen sponge, and Vaseline gauze.关键词
