Abstract
Objective To investigate the differential diagnostic value of CT plain scan for mono-nodular goiter and thyroid adenoma. Methods 16 cases of solitary nodular goiter and 10 cases of thyroid adenoma confirmed by pathology in our hospital and Dongguan Hong Wah hospital from November 2006 to August 2013 were analyzed retrospectively. The CT values of the normal and peripheral normal glands, as well as the CT values of the same disease foci and the surrounding normal glands were measured and compared. Results The average CT values of the lesions in the nodular goiter group and the thyroid adenoma group were (59.53±4.52) HU and (45.90±8.10) HU respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The average CT value of normal thyroid gland in patients with nodular goiter and thyroid adenoma group was (82.21±5.60) HU and (102.23±8.99) HU respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The lesion/the surrounding normal glands CT ratio of the nodular goiter group were significantly different with that of thyroid adenoma group (P < 0.05). Conclusion CT plain scan in the diagnosis of mono-nodular goiter and thyroid adenoma has important reference value.关键词
