Abstract
Objective:To investigate the relationship between serum insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) level and different types of brain tumors in children. Methods:hTe levels of serum IGF-1 in 86 patients with pediatric brain tumors and 20 controls were detected with chemical chemiluminescence and be compared, which glioma were 53 cases (22 cases of astrocytoma, 18 cases of ependymoma, 13 cases of medulloblastoma), craniopharyngioma were 22 cases, germinoma were 11 cases). Results:The levels of serum IGF-1 in glioma group were significantly higher than that in craniopharyngioma group, germinoma group and control group, the difference were statistically signiifcant (P<0.05);the expression levels of IGF-1 in high grade glioma group were also higher than that in low grade glioma group, the difference were statistical signiifcant (P<0.05). Conclusion:hTe levels of IGF-1 were distinctly different among different types of pediatric brain tumor and could provide a reference for clinical early diagnosis.关键词
