The Effects of Different Antioxidants on the Melting Flow Index of PP-R Pipe Materials after High-temperature Thermal Oxidation

Abstract
PP-R pipe materials were modified with different antioxidants and the effects of primary antioxidants, auxiliary antioxidants and compound antioxidants on the melt index of PP-R pipe materials were investigated. It has been found after 1200 h high temperature thermal-oxidative aging at 150℃ that the addition of antioxidants can ef-fectively improve the anti-oxidation properties of PP-R,and the Melt Flow Index ( MFI) of PP-R without antioxida-nts dramatically increased by 32. 7%,but that of the PP-R modified with compound antioxidants retained within 8%. Meanwhile,masterbatch addition showed a far better effect than direct powder addition.关键词
