Settlement Deformation Monitoring of Soft Soil Foundation of Urban Road

Abstract
The stack preloading consolidation method was always used to conduct soft soil foundation process for urban roads.In order to control the quality and ensure the safety in the construction,it needs to command the execution according to the monitoring data.The foundation deformation monitoring is the most important one in the all monitoring items.Through the real construction cases,it was demonstrated that the settling rate of soft soil foundation was much faster during the loading process and could reach above 50 % of total deposition.In the pre-compression process,the subsidence process curve showed a gradual convergence process.According to the data shown in the two monitoring sections,the preloading time above 10 or 12 months can reach unloading condition.The more thick soft soil,the longer preloading time.Unloading work was conducted when the settling volume of soft soil post-construction,consolidation,and subsidence in consecutive two months was speculated,meanwhile,satisfied the design requirements,which could ensure the engineering quality more effectively.The results of this study can provide scientific foundation for soft soil foundation design and construction in the local region.关键词
