Abstract

Based on the data collected from the NASA/AURA satellite ozone monitoring instrument OMI, we analyzed the column concentration of tropospheric O3 and NO2, and the temporal and spatial distribution of the atmospheric total column concentration of HCHO in the Yangtze River Delta and its typical cities. The results indicated that during the last ten years, the concentration of O3 column and HCHO total column have an increasing trend with 0.23 ppbv/10 a and 0.07í1016 mol/(cm-2·10 a)respectively, while the concentration of NO2 column shows a decreasing trend, the reduction is 0.57í1015 mol/(cm-2·10 a). In the Yangtze River Delta, the maximum O3 column concentration happened in March, April and May, that of NO2 column concentration appeared in January and December, and that of the HCHO total column appeared in June and July. The high-value sector of O3 concentration located in the middle and northern part of the Yangtze River Delta and that of the NO2 located only in the middle part of the Yangtze River Delta. However, the high-value sector of HCHO total column concentration is relatively decentralized and varies with the season. Generally, the spatiotemporal change of O3,NO2 and HCHO showed some correlation from the aspects of time and space.
