The Basic Features and Trends of Current International Configuration and China's Orientation
摘要
Abstract
Since the end of the Cold War,the discussion on the international configuration has been pop-ularly summarized with such terms as unipolarity,multipolarization,uni-multipolarity,nonpolarity and"multipolar time"etc.The current international configuration is the unipolar world dominated by the United States,which is not realized by the US national strategy,but the natural extension of the end of the bipo-larity of the Cold War.The remarkable characteristics of the present unipolar world are the arrogance and limits of American hegemony and the discretization of global power which is characterized with the infor-mation tendency,global social forces and the rise of emerging countries that can be implicated the non-po-larized and multi-polarized tendency from the unipolar world.However,the international configuration is not built by the superpower's foreign strategy and policy but rather the strategic interaction results of sev-eral equally powerful countries.Therefore,it is available for China to rise up in the unipolar world on the basis of Sino-US strategic mutual trust and cooperation.关键词
