Abstract
Laboratory testing is one of the important means for detection of animal diseases in conducting animal health inspection at the place of origin. The laboratory testing status and related policy demands of 51 specified quarantine objects(animal diseases)covered in the producing area inspection and quarantine scheme were analyzed in this article. Based on the analysis,legal testing criterions for 39 animal diseases were available,while those for 8 animal diseases such as swine plague were not available. There were 14 laboratories which had the legal qualification to issue test reports in Beijing,however,only 30 diseases could be tested in these laboratories,swine erysipelas and other 12 animal diseases couldn't be confirmed by local laboratories. In order to conscientiously implement the policy of issuing test certificates towards inspection and quarantine in origin area based on laboratory detection,some recommendations were put forward including strengthening the feasibility of policy implementation,defining the laboratory qualifications, improving standards for animal disease testing,and enhancing the capacity building for laboratory detection.关键词
