半乳糖凝集素-3在结直肠癌中的表达及其临床意义
Galectin-3 Expression in Colorectal Cancer and its Clinical Significance

Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of Galectin-3 expression in colorectal and its association with pathology characteristics and prognosis. Methods Galectin-3 expression in 64 colorectal can⁃cer tissue and para-cancer tissue were examined by the immunohistochemical SP method. The Galectin-3 posi⁃tive expression rate between the cancer tissue and para-cancer tissue were compared and its association with pa⁃thology characteristics was assessed such as age, gender, pathology type, lymphnode metastasis and prognosis. Results The Galectin-3 positive expression rate were 62.5% and 14.1% for cancer tissue and para cancer tis⁃sue with statistical difference (P<0.05). Galectin-3 positive expression was associated with tumor diameter (P<0.05), pathology grading (P<0.05), and Duke stage (P<0.05). The median disease free survival time were 16.8 months and 36.8 months respectivel for Galectin-3 positive and negative patients with statistical difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Galectin-3 is related to the occurrence and development of colorectal cancer, which can be used as a biomarker for prognosis of colorectal cancer.关键词
