Abstract
Based on the rainfall data of flash flood and geological disasters in Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture from 1981 to 2010, the precipi-tation characteristics of flash flood and geological disasters were analyzed .The results showed that the distribution of flash floods and geological disasters in the central north was larger than that in the southe, mainly occurred during May-July.Rainfall intensity, rainfall duration and rain-fall quantity were closely related to the occurrence of flash folld and geological disasters .6 hours precipitation can be used as a reference index for the prediction of geological disasters.关键词
