Abstract

On the basis of explicitly given the definition of chemical loading and token variables, considering combined action of mechanical loading, the consolidation deformation of the soil is di-vided into mechanical consolidation deformation caused by mechanical loading and chemical-osmotic consolidation deformation induced by chemical loading. A calculation method for soil deformation considering chemo-mechanical coupling behavior is proposed. On the micro level, the mechanism of soil deformation under double load is analyzed. The calculation formula of volume change of macro pore is derived. According to permeability experimental results, quantitative analysis on the consoli-dation deformation of soil is carried out under the action of combined loads. The results show that the existence of chemicals can cause consolidation deformation of the soil, nevertheless, macro pore volume of soil does not have to be reduced. Due to desorption of adsorbed water to the macro pore space, soil macro pore channel may be widened and void ratio may be increased.
