Abstract
In order to avoid rolling plate jam and reduce the amount of wrinkled cigarettes, an automatic cleaning device for rolling drum was designed. The cleaning brush rotated in opposite direction to the rolling drum, the drum was effectively cleaned when the brush radially overlapped the drum by 1 mm. The cleaning brush was driven by the same power of cleaning brush of cork drum via a toothed timing belt. PLC controlled air jet was used to blow off the cigarettes gathered on rolling drum for 15 s with an interval of 5 s, air pressure was 0.2 MPa. The results showed that the device cleaned rolling drum automatically; after improvement, the frequencies of rolling plate jam and rolling drum maintenance reduced by 3.4 and 3.73 times per shift, respectively.关键词
