Abstract

Frequency analysis is the approximate analysis about source - load power balance, so the regional power grid frequency model with equivalent unit is reasonable. By three performance indicators, namely the disturbance moment rate, damping ratio and static deviation, the paper analyzed transient, dynamic and static stability of regional frequency after the direct current (DC) access, obtained the dominant factor. Analysis found that after constant power DC access, equivalent machine inertia and power frequency static characteristic coefficients were smaller; the former leads to deteriorates of transient stability, the latter leads to deterioration of static stability, both the ratio basically unchanged result dynamic stability basically unchanged; if the change in power frequency static coefficient, the dynamic stability, static stability appears inverse characteristics. In addition, after the virtual inertia and droop regulated DC access, although the frequency stability by the end can be improved, but for the sending end disadvantage. Accordingly, it also suggests that the end of the conventional unit power-frequency adjustment method improvement strategies, namely series connection inertial element, in power feedback path, in the next frequency feedback channel parallel proportion-differentiation (PD) link. Theory and simulation show the effectiveness. The study provides useful references to improve frequency stability of regional power grid.
