Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of mouse nerve growth factor (mNGF)on recovery of elderly patients with dysphagia and aspiration,in order to provide basis and reference for reasonable application.Meth-ods Sixty-six elderly patients with dysphagia were randomly divided into two groups.The treatment group (32 cases) was treated by mNGF(18μg,im,qd)and VitalStim electrical stimulation for dysphagia,and control group (34 cases)by adding VitalStim electrical stimulation for dysphagia.The swallowing function was evaluated by using the Standardized Swallowing Assessment (SSA)and Kubota test before and after treatment.Results After 6-week treatment,both of them improved in swallowing function and SSA and Kubota test scores,the treatment group was improved significantly. Treatment group's total effectiveness was 62.5%,surpasses control group35.29%,between both the difference had the significance (P <0.05).Conclusion The mNGF combined VitalStim electrical stimulation can improve the swallo-wing function of elderly patients and reduce the aspiration.关键词
