摘要

Abstract

Dialdehyde cotton fiber was prepared by selective oxidation of waste cotton fiber by periodate. Fourier transform infrared spectra analysis indicated that the CN of Schiff base had formed between amine group of aniline and aldehyde group of oxidized cotton fiber by sodium periodate, which made oxidized cotton fiber have good adsorption properties for aniline molecules. The influences of various factors in oxidation pro⁃cess on the aldehyde group content and aniline adsorption rate of oxidized cotton fiber were investigated, and the optimum oxidation process of waste cotton fiber was determined as sodium periodate 6 g/L, oxidized at 50℃for 2h. The aniline adsorption rate of oxidized cotton fiber could reach above 96%.
