Abstract
Fluorescence quantum yield (FQY) is an important property index of fluorescent whitening agent (FWA), which is determined by violet absorbance and fluorescent septum of the FWA solution. A meth⁃od inspecting FQY of FWA was established using known FQY of quinine sulfate as standard substance. The FQY method was adopted in the FQY inspection of different varieties, different quality and different combina⁃tion FWA, and the accuracy of the method was verified. The results showed that the FQY of water-soluble FWA C.I. 351 was the highest, close to 1, higher than bistriazinylamino-stibene derivative series FWA; FQY of FWA C.I. 71 was the highest among bistriazinylamino-stibene derivative series FWA. Qualities of FWA, such as whitening strength, appearance and shade, application effects, were related to FQY. The experiments re⁃sults showed that the higher the FQY, the better the performances. FQY could also be applied to evaluate the adduction synergism of products compatibility, free from the burden of complicated application tests. The rela⁃tive standard deviation of this method was less than 5%and had good reproducibility.关键词
