Abstract
Objective Toexplore effect of continuous health education on the caregiver burden of patients with traumatic brain injury. Methods Totally 100 caregiver of traumatic brain injury patients with limb dysfunction were randomly divided into control group and intervention group according to their ward: 50 patients from A ward in control group while 50 patients from B ward in intervention group. Caregivers in control group were given the routine health education 1 d before discharge and 1 week after discharge; caregivers in intervention group received the routine health education and the ADL oriented health education 2~3 d before discharged as well as the telephone follow-up health education at the first week, the third week and the fifth week after discharge in addition. The ZaritCaregiverBurdenInterview scores of caregivers between the two groups were compared two months later. Results ZBI of intervention group and control group was48.02±5.19 and 47.38±6.21 on the day before discharge, without significant differences (P=0.438).ZBI of intervention group and control group decreased to 34.22±6.89and 42.30±1.95 at 2 months after discharge, with statistically significant differences between two groups (P=0.000). Conclusion The ADL oriented continuous caregiver health education can reduce the caregiver burden level of traumatic brain injury patients.关键词
