Effects of Different Fattening Patterns on Growth and Slaughter Performance of Dairy Bulls
摘要
Abstract
The objective of this experiment was to study the effects of the different fattening patterns on growth performance and slaughter performance of dairy bull. Four hundred 6-month-old dairy bulls with similar body weight were randomly and equally divided into two groups. One group was conducted straight fattening,the other group was conducted phase fattening including store rearing first,then fattening strongly. The results showed that the average body weight(BW)and average daily gain(ADG)of feeder cattle were extremely significantly lower than those of the cattle of straight fattening(P<0.01). The average body weight and slaughter performance of straight fattening feeder cattle and cattle after fattening strongly for six months had no significant difference(P>0.05). It was concluded that straight fattening and phase fattening extremely significantly influenced theBW and ADG of cattle during a certain stage. Store rearing significantly inhibited the BW and ADG of the cattle,but the feeder cattle could reach the BW and slaughter performance of straight fattening cattle at the 18th month by complete compensatory growth through strong fattening.关键词
