Abstract
Objective:To understand the status of male nurses ' job satisfaction and turnover intention in Wei-fang and to discuss the relationshipbetween them. Methods:A total of 153 male nurses from 7 tertiary hospitals of Weifang were investigated using the Nurses Job Satisfaction Rating Scale and Turnover Intention Scale. Results:The male nurses'job satisfaction is at the medium level (3. 20 ± 0. 43), of which the lowest is the salary and welfare and the second is the job itself and the personal growth and development. The level of turnover intention is high (2.37 ±0.58). Job satisfaction of male nurses were negatively correlated with turnover intention(P<0.01). O-verall satisfaction, education background, salary and welfare, professional title and the job itself are the main pre-dictive factors of male nurses' turnover intention. Conclusion:Managers should pay attention to the factors influen-cing male nurses' job satisfaction and turnover intention, take positive and effective measures to improve the degree of satisfactionand to reduce the turnover rate, and thus to stabilize the male nurse team.关键词
