摘要

Abstract

Objective To investigate the combination of low-frequency ultrasound combined with antimicrobial agents in treating bacteri-al biofilm infection in the databases since establishment to June 2016 based on a bibliometric approach, to provide reference in the an-ti-infection research. Methods PubMed, EMbase and CNKI were searched. The amount of year, corresponding authors, literature types, journal, content and cited frequency were statistically analyzed. The contents of the researches were discussed. Results A total of 194 papers were found and 58 papers were included in this study. The number of papers published showing an overall upward trend. Pitt WG was the corresponding author that published the most number of papers. The main publication type was basic research, accounting for more than 50%. The highest cited frequency of paper was 81 times. The maximum number of journal was Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy. The contents of basic researches suggested that low frequency ultrasound and antimicrobial agent combination had synergy efficacy, but the mechanism was not clear and the synergistic effect in clinic needed further research. Conclusion The research of low-frequency ultrasound and antimicrobial agent combination against bacterial biofilm is in the stage of preliminary study and could be a promising method to treat biofilm infection.
