Robust Controller of Voltage Source Converter-High Voltage Direct Current System Based on the Theory of Quantitative Feedback Theory

Abstract
PI controllers are still the mainstream in VSC-HVDC system. However, PI controllers show the weak performance when suffering from the uncertainty in the system. On the basis of the traditional vector control strategy, this paper combines the quantitative feedback theory (QFT) to propose a new robust control strategy. This strategy can consider the phase information, intuitively weigh controller complexity and performance index in the design. It is easy to design and is convenient for on-site adjustment and operation. Under different operating conditions, simulations on control system are conducted using PSCAD software. The performance of the system with QFT controllers and the same system with PI controllers is compared. The results show that the proposed controllers have good robustness and dynamics.关键词
