Psychometric Properties of 10-item Connor-davidson Resilience Scale among Nursing Students

Abstract
Objective To examine the psychometric properties of the 10-item Connor-davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC) in a sample of Chinese nursing students. Methods The psychometric properties of Chinese version of CD-RISC were tested in a sample of 560 nursing students, which was then divided into two groups. Parallel analysis and CFA were used to test the structure of the scale. Results The Chinese version of CD-RISC included 10 items and retained its original one-factor structure, which could explain 48.641%of the total variance. The content validity of each item ranged from 0.830 to 1.000. The Cronbach ’sα, split-half reliability of the scale was 0.851 and 0.811 respectively and test-retest reliability was 0.817. Conclusion The Chinese version of 10-item CD-RISC, being reliable, valid and easy to use, is a suitable screening tool to recognize nursing students with various levels of resilience.关键词
