摘要

Abstract

Objective]Photorespiration,one of the important metabolic pathways in the plants,is consuming a quantity of energy and reduce the efficient of photosynthesis.Moreover,the effect on C3 plants is more obvious than C4 plants. Since inhibition of photorespiration have become one of the research directions to increase photosynthetic efficiency in C3 plants,the status of photorespiration research is necessary to know.[Methods]Tracking the latest internationally research report on photorespiration.[Results]The metabolic pathways,the important physiological functions and the latest progress of the photorespiration bypass are summarized.[Conclusion]The creation of a bypass of photorespira-tion had good effect on improving the photosynthetic efficiency of C3 plant as well as increasing the yield.
