Experimental Research on Wetness Measurement With the Method of Gas-liquid Two-phase Flow Droplet Cluster Impingement

Abstract
We put forward an idea that by measuring droplet cluster impingement force to gain wetness of gas-liquid two-phase flow, and developed the experimental rig. We used air and water to simulate wet steam by neglecting phase transitions and heat dissipation loss effect. The paper, investigating the law that droplets impinging force varies with wetness variation, presented an empirical formula based on the experimental data, and that relationship was verified. The results demonstrate that the quantity of water spraying and the velocity have significant influence on droplets impinging force. Under the same mean velocity condition and with wetness increasing, the droplets impinging force increases non-linearly. The method has been proved to be feasible and the experimental error is 6.45%; the variation of droplet size distribution causes a negligible error that is 0.74%. The method is concise, having little interference to the main flow, and the minimum wetness fraction, determined by this approach, is 0.0083%.关键词
