基于钕铁硼永磁材料的饱和铁心故障限流器研究
Research on Saturated Core Fault Current Limiters Based on NeFeB Magnets

Abstract
The saturated core fault current limiter (SFCL) is one of the most effective measures to limit the excess currents. To reduce the requirement of DC power and the additional energy consumption, the method of using permanent magnets (PMs) has got more and more concern in addition to the superconducting-coil-biased method. However, the finite flux density and thermal stability limit the application of NdFeD magnets in the conventional SFCLs. With this background, a novel hybrid type of SFCL (HSFCL) is proposed. The method of electromagnetic coupling is used to analyze the operation principle and characteristics. The HSFCL is efficient in fault clipping, reducing eddy current losses both under the normal condition and the fault clipping condition. Various FEA simulations and experiments proved the effectiveness and the reliability of the proposed configuration.关键词
