摘要

Abstract

Objective] The aim was to explore the stress reaction mechanism of celery seedlings in response to stress under different concen-trations of PEG-6000.[Method] Different concentrations of PEG-6000 were used to study the effect of PEG-6000 treatment on physiological and biochemical characteristics of celery seedlings.[ Result] The chlorophyll content decreased, while many characteristics increased, such as the peroxidase activity, the malondialdehyde (MDA) content, the free proline content, the soluble sugar content and the soluble protein content.However, under different treatment concentrations, the change trends of every character were also different.[ Conclusion] The results provide theoretical basis for dealing with effects of drought on crops and vegetables.
