Abstract
OBJECTIVETo systematically evaluate the efficacy of macrolide therapy for chronic rhinosinusitis. METHODSPubmed, OVID, EMBASE, CNKI and WanFang Data had been searched for the randomized controlled trials(RCTs) of the macrolide therapy for chronic rhinosinusitis(CRS) from the date of establishment of the databases to January 2016. The bibliographies of the included studies were searched too. Two independent researchers evaluated the included studies revised edition of the scale and extracted dates. The RCTs which conformed to the quality standard would be resorted to Meta analysis. The study had been analyzed several aspects including the SNOT, Patient Response Scale, safety between the Macrolides group and the placebo group. The RevMan 5.3 was used for statistical analysis.RESULTSA total of 3 trials were included. The results of meta-analysis showed that the efficacy of macrolides group was superior to the placebo group in SNOT scores at 24 weeks (WMD=-0.43,P=0.03), but in the SNOT scores at 12 weeks (WMD=-0.23,P=0.25) and Patient Response Scales (WMD=-0.40,P=0.28), there were no significant difference between macrolides group and placebo group. The side effects incidence was very similar to the control.CONCLUSIONLong-term, low-dose administration macrolide therapy are likely not benefit for chronic rhinosinusitis patients. The side effects incidence of the two groups are similar.关键词
